Fever and infection

We know that Adam is still in the hospital fighting to get better. We are waiting for an update on his condition and will post it as soon as we hear something. Hopefully by the end of today we will have more news.

Adam has been running a fever and fighting an infection. We believe the infection is in his appendix. Our prayer for today is for his strength to fight the infection. Pray that the antibiotics will work in his body to kill the infection. Pray that his appendix will heal. Pray that the damage already done to his intestines will heal. Pray that his fever will subside and he will feel better. Pray that he will be able to have liquids orally and eventually be able to eat something solid.

As you know we found Adam through sponsoring children at Harmony House. He was not our sponsor child but we were led to him through another child we were sponsoring. I always knew there was a family somewhere that was sponsoring our Adam. Well guess what? That family just "happened" to find this prayer blog for Adam. They have been his sponsor family for a year and a half and have been praying for him all along. We were able to exchange emails and found out we aren't that far from each other. They are in Georgia. We are so happy to be in contact.

Once you sponsor a child you feel a connection to them. Like you are playing a small role in their lives. It is nice to know how things end up after they are adopted. It will be special for Adam to know there was a family praying for him and helping meet his physical needs all along.

So to Adam's sponsor family a BIG Thank You for loving our boy!

For you Adam-

Zephaniah 3:17

The Lord your God is with you,
He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love
he will rejoice over you with singing

Thanks again everyone for praying. It is what he needs right now.

Blessings to you!

  2. I found your blog through the link you left on your "My Adoption Website"...my heart just goes out to your family and I want you to know that I will most certainly join with the others in lifting your family and your precious son up in prayer, so that you can bring him home soon! Hang in there and God bless! <><
