Every Christmas morning starts out the same way.

The kiddos gather in our room way too early.

Greg and I head downstairs to get coffee and the cameras.

We survey the loot Santa left.

We head back up and announce "Someone was not good!"

This year, and for the past several years, all fingers pointed to one sweet little girl.

Guess who?

She said "I know he left me toys this year because he did last year"

She figured she was about as good as years past so it couldn't be too bad.

Waiting in mom and dad's room

Coming into the den. Check out Sam's face.

Yep, he came

Adam loved his stocking

AK digging in

Munnie and Pop-pop joined us later in the day.

Sam loved her Go Go Walking Pup.

Adam finally got his Buzz Light Year costume.

It has been a wonderful Christmas. Not because of the gifts under the tree.
As much as the kids love Santa gifts they know the best gift of all is free, and can't be made by elves or bought in a store.

To our family Christmas is special but Jesus is special to us everyday!

I love the words to this song by Chris Rice

Welcome to our World

Tears are falling, hearts are breaking
How we need to hear from God
You've been promised, we've been waiting

Welcome Holy Child
Welcome Holy Child

Hope that you don't mind our manger
How I wish we would have known
But long-awaited Holy Stranger
Make Yourself at home
Please make Yourself at home
Bring Your peace into our violence
Bid our hungry souls be filled
Word now breaking Heaven's silence

Welcome to our world
Welcome to our world

Fragile finger sent to heal us
Tender brow prepared for thorn
Tiny heart whose blood will save us
Unto us is born
Unto us is born
So wrap our injured flesh around You
Breathe our air and walk our sod
Rob our sin and make us holy

Perfect Son of God
Perfect Son of God
Welcome to our world

Dear Jesus,
Thanks for letting us celebrate your birthday with you!
It just wouldn't be the same without you!
