Happy Birthday to me!

Today is my birthday.
To celebrate the girls and I got pedicures.
It was the first time we had all done this together and it was so much fun!

Then Samantha had a dance she had worked on for me.
She needed a little help form daddy.
It was a country dance to country music.

It was very entertaining!

I got something I have wanted for awhile.
A Bible Commentary.

This one is by John MacArthur.

I think I will really enjoy it.

The other book is an illustrated Bible guide.

Of course my birthday is never complete without homemade cards from the kids.
Audrey Kate's is the ocean and sand.
She wrote Happy Birthday in the sand.
So clever!

It was a great 43rd Birthday!

Well actually I had a migraine headache and felt bad most of the day.

But who wouldn't  feel better with all of this!

Thanks guys for making me feel so special!

Sam is very independent.

A parent of a child in her class told me she thought Sam was very mature
for her age.

She is the little Mama, bossy, in charge.

You can call it many things.

Last night she made her own lunch for school,
sandwich and all!

She even included her own note.... from me?

However, I didn't write it, she did... but from me.

So I wrote her a note from the real mom.

She really took care of everything.

She is such a helper.

ROTC- Dining Out

We spent the weekend with Stephen and Megan at UNC.
It was Air Force ROTC Dining out, an event where the Cadets are given awards for the year.
It was the first time we had seen Stephen in uniform.
He looked handsome.

Stephen received three ribbons for his GPA, physical fitness scores and his recruiting efforts for the detachment.

The next day we went to a UNC baseball game.

It was a fun weekend. The Tarheels won the game against Georgia Tech.
Stephen has one more week of school and then his freshman year will be over.
What a year it has been!

Fly Fishing- Sunday Snapshot

Greg took my camera this year on the annual fishing trip.

He got some great shots.

All credit goes to him for these great photos.

Altogether he had taken over 200 photos.

I am going to post some of the others later in the week.

The NC mountains are beautiful and the guys had a great time
catching fish and making memories.

Rollin' Bobcats and The Real Bobcats

Monday night we went to a Bobcats game thanks to
Coach Mike, Adam's basketball coach.

We met up with him and his daughter before we went in.

We had not yet been to a Bobcats game. Greg and I and the older boys had been to a Hornet's game when the boys were very little.

It had been a long time.

I wish I could say the Bobcat's played great but they did not.
They lost and are now officially the worst team in the NBA.

Adam had a great time and kept cheering until the end.
Every now and then you would hear him yell, "Wizards stink!"
He's a typical boy.
Actually the grown up version was yelling even worse in the rows beneath us.

We had a great time despite the loss.

As were were leaving though Adam said "The Rollin' Bobcats are better than those guys."

He is so right!

Check out the new fundraising/awareness raising video on You Tube.

Notice my face when my children behind me are acting up.
Adam throws a ball at his sister and cracks himself up!
Of course it made the video.

Thanks Coach Mike for the tickets and fun evening!
