This is it!

This is it for us!
This is the last high school football season we will be a part of.

C.J. is number 85 this year.

We have enjoyed the Maverick Walk.

And finally seeing our son play.

He's been on the side lines quite a bit.
It's fair to say there are parts of his season we have not enjoyed.

But there is no feeling like seeing your child play Friday night varsity football.

We are thankful for his chance to play.

We love the orange and blue and the school spirit.

There's tailgating.

There yelling and cheering from the stands.
(there's yelling on the sidelines)

C.J. we LOVE watching you play for however many downs you are in for.

We hope you really enjoy this last year of football.

We are so proud of you no matter what.

Sam's 7th B-day!

Here are some fun photos from Sammy's Birthday.

She actually lost a tooth on her birthday.
It came out when she ate a tater-tot at Wednesday night church dinner.

She loves her Boo dog and Boo books.
He really is the worlds cutest dog.
After Jesse of course!

I'm sure you've seen these advertised.
As you walk the eyes blink.
They are really cute!

Here's Sammy at her party.
That's her in the pink and black.

She had a blast.

Adam did too.
He was the only boy but he did not care!!

Happy Happy 7th Birthday
my Sammy girl!

Captain Jack Sparrow

It's not surprising.
If you know Audrey Kate you know it's just like her.

It's just like her to want to ride a horse that is missing one eye.

His name is Cashew and he is school horse.
That means he is used for lessons at the barn.
Lesson horses are generally really good horses for children to ride.
They are safe and gentle.
However, they don't always make the best show horses.

We have not been able to lease another horse for AK since Marshmallow.

Leasing a school horse is a much cheaper option.
We were told most of the girls don't like to ride Cashew in shows because he is missing his eye.
We gave AK the choice.
Of course it doesn't bother her that he is missing an eye.

She thinks he should actually get extra points for doing all the things
the other horses do but with one less eye.

So Saturday it was so good to hear....

"In second place is Audrey Kate Smith riding Captain Jack Sparrow"

You've got to love his show name!

Yes, that is Jesse the dog on Cashew the horse.

That is AK's version of a really great day, on her horse with her dog!

Our new baby

Meet Jesse...

Our newest baby!

She is the sweetest thing and we love her to death!
She is such a good dog. She really belongs to AK but the rest of us have
fallen in love with her.

The big dogs even like her.

She is a rescue dog from Operation CARE.
She is a mix of miniature Schnauzer and a Yorkie.

She is so friendly and loves people.

She was a great addition to the family!

More beach photos

We took some great pictures at the beach this summer that I never got around to posting.
This week and next I will be playing catch up on my blog.

It has sat silent for over a month.
We've been busy!

I have continued to take pictures and I hope to be caught up soon!

I love Adam's face!

All 14 of us is a hard picture to get but this one turned out great!

I think I am shrinking.
Three of the five kiddos are now taller than me.

I love this picture.

Mimi and Pappy to most... mom and dad to me!

Greg and his boys.

Greg and his girls.

Six years ago today

We were blessed!

Sweet Samantha was forever placed in our arms, in our family, and in our hearts.

She is beautiful on the outside...

 and on the inside!

She is a wonderful gift of a daughter.

Happy Gotcha Day Samantha.

You have always been loved!
